As musicians and singers, it is important that we continue to develop our skills as performers and song writers, regardless of whether we can all meet together in the same room to perform together or not. You have probably noticed that many musicians (including myself) have been using this time to work on songs and to share their work with the world over social media. Music brings people joy, and now, more that ever, we can use our music to help lift people's spirits.

Obviously the performance part of our course will not look the same as it did before spring break. But we will strive to continue to make music, because that's what musicians do. The performance part of our course will have two components over the next couple of months:

1. Setting goals each week, practicing on our own, assessing our skills and our improvement

2. Recording (using your phone is perfectly fine!) and sharing our skills (with me, and if you're comfortable with your performance, online).

We will do some other things in the course as well, but for now, I'd like us to get focused again on the music.

Please note that we will be alternating SOR Music and English each week (not each day).

Also, you will be required to complete two sheets to monitor your goals and your rehearsal time. Click on the Readings and Assignments link in the menu above to find these sheets. Email them to me at the end of each week that we have music.
